It is the cuffing season! For those unfamiliar with this term, cuffing comes from the word ‘handcuff’ and it essentially means to hold unto someone.

During this cuffing season people who are normally single find themselves desiring to be ‘cuffed’ to keep off the cold. For those who are single, it’s important to take note of a few things while we bid to keep ourselves warm other than engage in activities that you may end up regretting later.

While there is always an innate desire to find a cold weather mate at this time of the year, it’s very vital to note that there is more to life than cuddling. Here are a few things to remember this cuffing season;

  • Don’t be a victim

Do not let circumstances guide you. If you let yourself be a victim of the cold, it will lead you into looking for a cuffing mate.

  • It should never be about sex

Sex is one of the things that will definitely come with cuffing. While no one wants to stay alone and suffer the cold nights alone don’t let yourself get carried away and get involved in premarital sexual adventures.

  • Ignore, Ignore, Ignore!

The desire to find someone to keep away the cold is definitely way much stronger. The trick is to avoid thoughts that will lead you into temptations.

  • Have a timetable

Do not be rigid. You definitely need a social life. Just plan out well. Be at the right place at the right time to avoid being caught off guard.

  • Dress for the season

Don’t break fashion rules to freeze and shine. For heavens sake, stay away from your rebellious self. Ditch all the glam and dress appropriately for the weather. This is not the time to show off your body.
